A vibrant mid-century English ceramic vase featuring a sculptural twisted-rib design with twin rope-style handles and a flared, asymmetrical mouth. The piece is finished in a beautifully even aqua turquoise glaze, typical of 1950s British pottery, with light crazing that adds vintage authenticity.

The dynamic spiral texture gives the vase a sense of movement and sophistication — a hallmark of the era’s transition from late Art Deco elegance to modernist simplicity. This design (pattern no. 1307) was produced by several English potteries, including SylvaC and Wade, known for their richly coloured matte and gloss finishes.

Condition:

Excellent vintage condition – no chips or cracks; minor natural crazing visible at the base consistent with age. Glaze remains luminous and even.
