How dual pricing works: If a buyer hits Buy Now, the auction closes and current bidders receive an automatic notification with the option to top the Buy-Now price next time. The seller of this lot has chosen to keep Buy Now active throughout — some lots disable Buy Now after the first bid (you'll see "Buy Now closed" on the card).
Solid rosewood case, professionally restored 2024
Original 8-day mechanical movement, recently serviced
a finely crafted antique wardrobe made from solid South African Imbuia wood, celebrated for its rich grain, deep mahogany-toned colour and luxurious natural sheen. The wardrobe features beautifully carved twin-panel doors with central oval medallions in high-relief foliate design, surrounded by undulating moulded panels that highlight the craftsmanship typical of early to mid-20th-century South African cabinetry.
The piece is raised on elegant cabriole legs, enhancing its stature and giving it a distinct Cape Dutch revival or French Provincial influence. Inside, it offers generous hanging space along with a fitted section containing two drawers, likely added later for practicality.
Key Features:
